Part two of this show from January 12th 1986 includes one of my all time favourite tracks recorded in 1981 and sounding as good as ever.
Despite Smashie and Nicey still ruling at Radio One remember the station did eventually provide a broadcast home for Roger Scott probably the best music DJ ever. Thank goodness, he got a national audience so all could appreciate just how music presented with such passion and modesty made for real radio. His death aged just 46 was a real loss to proper music radio.
A new book is being written about the history of Radio One and I have been asked to contribute. Contribute I will.
Robbie,
really nice having access to all that lovely music and sharing those times
